Intact Mass Deconvolution Algorithm Published in Analytical Chemistry
Our charge state deconvolution algorithm, kDecon, was recently published in Analytical Chemistry. The manuscript performs an extensive performance evaluation of kDecon versus other popular charge state deconvolution algorithms such as Intact Mass from Protein Metrics, ReSpect from Biopharma Finder, and UniDec from Michael Marty. Overall, kDecon was highly competitive with >20x speed improvements against all of these algorithms. Additionally, kDecon showed high accuracy in its results across data from proteomics and biotherapeutics, outperforming the other algorithms in this aspect too by producing more real results with significant decreases in false positives.
